The loop climbs off the Big Ridge lakeshore through second-growth oak and hickory to the site of the Maston Hutcheson cabin, where a chimney and a small hilltop cemetery are all that remain of a Norris Lake family displaced when TVA dammed the Clinch River. Local lore about a haunting gave the Ghost House Trail its name. A spur reaches Indian Rock, a large sandstone boulder tied to a frontier skirmish, before the path drops back to the lake.
