The loop circles Cove Lake on a mix of paved greenway and gravel path with the wall of Cross and Fork mountains reflected in the water. It is an easy, family-friendly walk that doubles as a winter haven for Canada geese, ducks, and the occasional visiting wildlife. Benches, picnic tables, and a swimming pool sit along the way, and the Cumberland Trail climbs into the hills from the park's edge for hikers wanting more.
