The lakeside trail leads from the visitor center along Swan Lake to the iconic three-arched concrete entrance of Dunbar Cave, a prehistoric Native American art site. Connecting with the Recovery Trail, the route loops through wooded hills where deer, turkey, and waterfowl are common. The cave mouth and lake are accessible year-round even when tours are not running.
