The highest point in Knox County. The Mountaintop Loop climbs steadily from the Hogskin Road trailhead, then traces the ridgeline between the East and West Overlooks before descending on the Crest Trail. Best in fall and winter, when the bare hardwood opens the views east toward the Smokies and west toward Knoxville. Dogs welcome on leash; no entry fees.
