A surprising pocket of rolling, forested hills only a short drive from downtown Memphis. The Woodland Trail winds through mature bottomland hardwoods along the Chickasaw Bluffs, with glimpses toward the Mississippi River floodplain. It's shady, peaceful, and rarely crowded, good for a half-day escape. Expect mud after rain and a few short, steep pitches between ridges and hollows.
