Seven Islands opened in 2014 as Tennessee's 56th state park on roughly 416 acres of former farmland along the French Broad River east of Knoxville. The easy loop threads through grasslands and riverside woods that are managed for songbirds and other wildlife, part of eight-plus miles of trails including a paved greenway. Admission and parking are free, and leashed dogs are welcome.
